Features & Benefits

CASE Ingredients Features
Product Benefits
  • Wannate® HTBL-175S can be used as the hardener in colorfast and weather-stable, one-component polyurethane coatings.
  • The stoving temperature can be significantly reduced by the addition of a catalyst, e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate (DBTL), without reducing the storage stability.
  • The product is used in high-grade industrial finishes (electrical appliances, small components, can coatings, coil coatings, etc.) and in primer surfacers and topcoats for automative finishing. Wannate® HTBL-175S can also be used as an additive in conventional stoving systems to improve the flexibility and adhesion.

Properties

Physical Form
Compatibility Information

Given equivalent crosslinking (NCO/OH = 1.0). Wannate® HTBL-175S is miscible with polyester polyls, polyether polyols and polyacrylates. Wannate® HTBL-175S can also be combined with various plasticisers, e.g. phosphoric acid, sulphonic acid, adipic acid and phthalic acid esters. The combinations should always be tested for their compatibility.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Shelf Life Conditions
  • Store in tightly closed containers to prevent moisture contamination.
  • Recommended storage temperature: 0 ~ 30°C.
  • Protect from moisture, heat and foreign material.
  • General information: Storage at higher temperatures will result in increase of color and viscosity.
  • Storage at significant lower temperatures will result in solidification.
  • This solidification is reversible by briefly heating the product without adversely affecting the quality of the product.
  • It can remain stable at least for 6 months at room temperature if stored properly.
