Exolit® OP 1314 is a non-halogenated flame retardant based on organic phosphinates. The product achieves its flame retardant effect through intumescence. The thermoplastic polymer with Exolit® OP 1314 foams and crosslinks on exposure to flame and forms a stable char at the surface acting as a barrier. The protective layer provides a heat insulating effect, reduces oxygen access and prevents dripping of molten polymer. Compared to Exolit® OP 1312, the product gives an improved thermal stability of polyamide compounds. Exolit® OP 1314 is a white powder.

Polyfill 301 are specially produced for thermoset plastic and CASE applications that require high loading levels with increased surface area for improved flow and surface finish properties. The increased loading levels with use of medium grind series Polyfill products increases flame retardancy and smoke suppression with more H2O molecules available. Exolit® AP 423 is a fine-particle ammonium polyphosphate produced by a special method. The crystal modification is phase II. The product is largely insoluble in water and completely insoluble in organic solvents. It is a white powder, non-hygroscopic and non-flammable.

CARPOL® EDAP-800 is an ethylenediamine-initiated polyether polyol. The resulting material has a nominal functionality of four and a typical hydroxyl number of 800. This tetrol is polymerized with ethylene and propylene oxides and is autocatalytic due to its amine content. This polyol’s functionality makes it optimal for use in rigid foams as a crosslinking modifier. In addition, CARPOL® EDAP-800 can also be used as a curative for most C.A.S.E. applications.
