RHOPLEX® HG-700 is an aqueous, 100% acrylic polymer designed for interior and exterior, VOC compliant, gloss and semigloss enamels. This binder uses ambient temperature self-crosslinking technology to offer improved enamel performance versus conventional latex polymers. The combination of an all-acrylic backbone and ambient cure crosslinking technology offers excellent performance in gloss and semi-gloss formulations at VOC levels under 150 g/L. CYMEL® 1141 Resin is a highly methylated/iso-butylated, carboxy-modified melamine crosslinker supplied in iso-butanol. CYMEL® 1141 Resin is especially designed for electro-deposition primer formulations requiring excellent corrosion and resistance properties. CYMEL® 1141 Resin contains chelating groups which can form colored compounds with heavy metal ions such as iron and zinc. For that reason it is recommended to use CYMEL® 1141 Resin only in dark single coat applications or primers and not in pastel colors.

RHOPLEX® CL-104 Waterborne Acrylic Copolymer, yield clear wood coatings which shed water and coalescent rapidly, resulting in excellent early print resistance properties. However, in extreme ambient conditions (temperatures approaching 100°F (38°C) and/or very low relative humidity), some of these first generation print-resistant products can trap bubbles when spray applied, causing film haze and clarity loss. In contrast, RHOPLEX® CL-204 Acrylic Emulsion is specifically engineered to minimize this microfoam entrapment by slowing the film-set process which occurs under extreme ambient conditions, while still maintaining acceptable early print resistance properties.
