3M™ Glass Bubbles S60 are high- strength polymer additives made from a water-resistant and chemically- stable soda-lime-borosilicate glass. The S60 product can be used in a variety of industries and applications, such as automotive; injection molding; transportation; and oil and gas– wherever a low density filler with intermediate crush strength is required. These hollow glass microspheres can be used as a low-density filler material ideal for plastic and rubber parts created from injection molding, extrusion processes and/or other vigorous processing equipment (Banbury mixers, etc.). 3M™ Glass Bubbles S60 help to reduce weight; reduce noise, vibration and harmonics; reduce thermal expansion; and contribute to cost savings. 3M™ Glass Bubbles XLD3000 are high-strength additives for polymers made from a water-resistant and chemically stable soda-lime-borosilicate glass. These hollow glass bubbles can be compounded with a variety of polymers to reduce the overall thermal conductivity of the composite. These composites can be coated or incorporated into deep sea oil pipelines to improve the flow assurance properties of the system.

3M™ Glass Bubbles VS7000 is a high-performance polymer additives, specifically designed for use as density reduction fillers in automotive seam sealing and underbody coatings. They also produce stable voids, which results in low thermal conductivity and a low dielectric constant.

3M™ Glass Bubbles K20HS are high-strength additives for polymers made from a water-resistant and chemically stable soda-lime borosilicate glass. These hollow glass bubbles can be compounded with a variety of polymers to reduce the overall density of the composite. These composites can be incorporated into deep sea syntactic foam buoyancy modules to improve uplift properties of the system at minimal foam volumes. The high strength of K20HS glass bubbles can withstand both the high processing shear forces of polymer mixing and the pressure of seawater in many applications. 3M™ Glass Bubbles K20HS have isostatic crush strengths of 750 psi with a minimum of 90% survival.
