RHOPLEX® E-32 NP are self-crosslinking polymers which offer excellent strength and solvent resistance to both durable and disposable nonwovens. It performs well with synthetic fibers, cellulosics and blends and can be used on conventional bonding, drying and curing lines. This water-based emulsion is hydrophilic, impart an intermediate hand and are suitable where maximum durability to washing or dry cleaning is required.

RHOPLEX® E-358 are self-crosslinking polymers which offer excellent strength and solvent resistance to both durable and disposable nonwovens. They perform well with synthetic fibers, cellulosics and blends and can be used on conventional bonding, drying and curing lines. Both water-based emulsions are hydrophilic, impart an intermediate hand and are suitable where maximum durability to washing or dry cleaning is required.

RHOPLEX® EC-2848 is designed to provide elastomeric coatings with an excellent balance of elongation, tensile strength and dirt pickup resistance over a wide temperature range. The elongation properties of the polymer allow coatings to bridge dimensionally unstable cracks without rupturing. It also provides an excellent balance of toughness and elasticity at both low and high temperatures without sacrificing dirt pickup resistance. Coatings based on RHOPLEX® EC-2848 retain an attractive appearance as they age.

RHOPLEX® EC-3814 is designed to provide elastomeric coatings with an excellent balance of elongation, tensile strength and dirt pickup resistance over a wide temperature range. RHOPLEX® EC-3814 retains this balance of properties over formulation ranges not previously attainable for elastomeric wall coatings. RHOPLEX® EC-3814 can also be formulated at a higher PVC than Dow’s other elastomeric binders, which can lead to formulated cost savings, while still maintaining excellent mechanical properties. Furthermore, it shows a dramatic improvement in alkali resistance over hot masonry substrates compared to other elastomeric binders.

RHOPLEX® ECO-100 is an environmentally-advanced, APE-free, ultra low formaldehyde acrylic emulsion that yields a firm hand, high strength and very good durability to wash. This self-crosslinking binder contains only trace level of formaldehyde, making it ideal for applications requiring strength, stiffness and durability, but where formaldehyde must be eliminated.

RHOPLEX® ECO-3482 is an environmentally-advanced, APE-free, ultra low formaldehyde acrylic emulsion that combines softness with the inherent durability of a self-crosslinking binder, without the associated formaldehyde emissions. This self-crosslinking binder has excellent color, combined with softness and wet durability.

RHOPLEX® ECO-3988 is an acrylic binder and resin used primarily as a binder.

RHOPLEX® E-2961 is a polyacrylate based polymer that contains carboxylic acid groups. This rheology modifier is a pre neutralized alkali-swellable emulsion which requires no pH adjustment. This RM offers a good combination of thickening efficiency and water holding. It is excellent for heavy paper and paperboard applications where heavy coat weights are common.

RHOPLEX® EP-6060 is recommended for factory-applied interior wood coatings requiring early hardness, block resistance, and sandability. It can be used in clear formulations as a sealer and topcoat or in lightly pigmented (PVC 20%) coatings. The wet and dry clarity of films based on RHOPLEX® EP-6060 is good, especially over light wood.

RHOPLEX® HA-16 is a firm binder with excellent durability. It offers formulating flexibility with additives due to its nonionic nature and is especially suggested for battery separators and other industrial nonwoven applications.

RHOPLEX® HA-8 is a versatile, self-crosslinking, acrylic emulsion recommended for bonding nonwovens. This water-based, hydrophilic binder combines a soft hand with both lotion and wet tensile strengths. Additional characteristics include ease of formulation, excellent runnability, and durability to washing and drycleaning. It is recommended for both rayon and polyester webs including durable and disposable nonwoven applications such as hospital medical end uses, personal hygiene, carrier fabrics, interlinings, and household furnishings.

RHOPLEX® HG-1630 is a binder and resin used in architectural coatings, automotive OEM coatings, automotive and transportation, industrial applications, and paints and coatings. It functions as a binder.

RHOPLEX® HG-44P Acrylic Co-polymer Emulsion was developed specifically as a paint vehicle for both interior and light duty exterior high gloss and semigloss enamels. This aqueous latex allows the formulator to make enamel-like paints with the outstanding block resistance, stain removal, and washability needed for indoor use. RHOPLEX HG-44P also has good metal adhesion, resistance to household chemicals and can be formulated for light maintenance applications. With RHOPLEX® HG-44P, enamels can be easily formulated that represent a true alternative to oil-based paints. All of these benefits can be achieved without sacrificing the advantages inherent in high-quality waterborne acrylic paints.

RHOPLEX® HG-700 is an aqueous, 100% acrylic polymer designed for interior and exterior, VOC compliant, gloss and semigloss enamels. This binder uses ambient temperature self-crosslinking technology to offer improved enamel performance versus conventional latex polymers. The combination of an all-acrylic backbone and ambient cure crosslinking technology offers excellent performance in gloss and semi-gloss formulations at VOC levels under 150 g/L. Gloss enamels based on RHOPLEX® HG-700 offer durable coatings with excellent adhesion, block resistance, and stain removal. Suitable applications include factory applied topcoats for wood and wood composite materials such as joinery and siding products.

RHOPLEX® HG-706 is the new binder is designed for interior and exterior VOC compliant gloss and semigloss enamels, allowing formulators to produce high-performance coatings at 50 g/l VOC. RHOPLEX® HG-706 takes advantage of innovative technology to improve enamel performance over that of conventional latex polymers. The combination of an all-acrylic backbone and ambient-cure crosslinking technology provides superior performance in formulations ranging from 50 to 150 g/l VOC. Enamels based on RHOPLEX® HG-706 provide excellent adhesion, block, and stain removal.
