Method of Use:
Dilution
- BONDERITE® L-GP M 206 ACHESON (known as MOLYDAG 206) should be diluted with water before using. Dilution ratios will vary according to the particular use and method of application. In general, the most economical mixture which continues to give satisfactory performance should be employed.
- Ratios as lean as 1:20 (1 part BONDERITE® L-GP M 206 ACHESON (known as MOLYDAG 206) to 20 parts water) can be expected to be effective in many operations. Deionized, demineralized, or distilled water is the preferred diluent and will ensure the most stable mixtures. The concentrate should be stirred thoroughly prior to mixing. Water may then be added slowly while constant agitation is provided.
- Mixtures of BONDERITE® L-GP M 206 ACHESON (known as MOLYDAG 206) and water will satisfactorily coat clean metal surfaces up to 500°-700°F (260°-371°C); the addition of 3% "Triton X-100"* to the total mixture will facilitate wetting. In the 700°-1000°F (371°-538°C) range, 3% "Ucon Lubricant 75-H-1400"** is helpful.
Application:
Mixtures of BONDERITE® L-GP M 206 ACHESON (known as MOLYDAG 206) may be applied by spray, brush, dip, or swab, whichever is most convenient. Spray application generally produces the most satisfactory coating, however, and should be used whenever possible. Occasional agitation of diluted mixtures should be provided during use, particularly after standing overnight.
