Key Features

CA/ZN Stearate 5050 is produced from very high quality tallow derived fatty acid and metal cation sources for polymer applications requiring a finely divided metallic stearate powder with good handling and feeding characteristics.

Product Performance
  • The fine and consistent particle size distribution of CA/ZN Stearate 5050 provides excellent dispersion properties in blending, compounding and extrusion equipment.
  • High surface area and fine particle size provides excellent lubrication and surface quality in reinforced thermoset and other molding applications and an excellent anti-tack and mold release agent in rubber applications.
  • The hydrophobic nature of this mixture of metallic stearates combined with the fine particle size and high surface area imparts excellent water repellency to concrete, mortar and other masonry and construction materials.
  • The basic nature of CA/ZN Stearate 5050 makes it an effective acid scavenger for polyolefin processing.
  • This blend of calcium and zinc stearates combines the benefits of each metal stearate in terms of catalyst residue neutralization, heat stabilization and color retention of the subject polymer.
