- Recommended Use Level
The amount of HFGEL-120-D17 rheology modifier required depends upon the type of organic system and the degree of thickening or other properties desired. Addition levels are typically between 0.2%-1% based on the total formulation weight(powder direct addition usage)
Properties
- Physical Form
- Incorporation Information
- HFGEL-120-D17 rheology modifier has good wetting and dispersing properties. It can be directly added into the system to grind (stir) and disperse with pigments and filler together, normally no need to make pre-gel .
- High speed stirring or polar activators addition is beneficial for fully dispersion. Polar Activator:Methanol/H2O(95/5), Ethanol/H2O (95/5), propylene carbonate.
- The adding amount of polar activator:It is always recommended to determine the proper level of addition by experiment. Either defect or excess of chemical activator would result in poorer viscosity development.
