CYMEL® 350 Resin is a highly methylated, monomeric melamine resin recommended for use in both waterborne and solvent-borne systems. It has very good water solubility properties, which makes it easy to incorporate with excellent stability in emulsion systems, as it remains in the water phase and does not migrate to the polymer phase. Like CYMEL® 350 Resin, it is a very efficient crosslinking agent and is recommended for coil coatings and high solids systems. CYMEL® 1168 Resin is a highly monomeric, methylated/iso-butylated melamine crosslinker with a high degree of alkylation. Its high monomer content allows for the formulation of high solids coatings with excellent appearance, recoat adhesion, and flexibility. CYMEL® 1168 Resin is especially recommended for automotive topcoats, general metal finishes, and coil coatings. While CYMEL® 1168 Resin is insoluble in water, it shows excellent compatibility with water-soluble backbone polymers and provides very good stability in amine-stabilized waterborne formulations.

EBECRYL® 3605 is a partially acrylated ester of a bisphenol A type epoxy resin. It contains both acrylate and epoxy functionalities. This resin may be cured by exposure to either ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) in conjunction with conventional epoxy curing. It may also be cured with UV radiation using a mixed photoinitiator system consisting of free radical and cationic photoinitiators. Ebecryl®3605 has been developed for applications requiring improved coating performance properties over those obtainable with conventional UV/EB curing alone.

EBECRYL® 250 is an undiluted high molecular weight aliphatic urethane diacrylate resin, characterized by its light color and lower viscosity. Films of EBECRYL® 250 cured by exposure to ultraviolet light (UV), electron beam (EB) or by means of peroxide are soft and flexible, exhibiting the inherent non-yellowing properties typical of an aliphatic urethane. EBECRYL® 1258 is a trifunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate diluted 20% by weight with hydroxypropylmethacrylate (HPMA) that does not contain any intentionally added organic tin compounds, heavy metals, hydroquinone (HQ) or methyl ether of hydroquinone (MEHQ). (Please note that quinones are present in many raw materials, so the overall quinone content is reduced, but not zero in EBECRYL® 1258.) Films of EBECRYL® 1258 cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) combine abrasion resistance, flexibility, and adhesion with resistance to yellowing.
