Calcinate® NC

Calcinate® NC is first intent 30 TBN neutral calcium sulfonate. This neutral calcium sulfonate product is designed to exhibit a low level of reactivity in formulations due to its limited free alkalinity, while providing detergency, rust inhibition and boundary lubrication characteristics. The use of Calcinate® NC is recommended for lubricant formulations where cleanliness is desired. Calcinate® NC is compatible with mineral base oils, white oils, and synthetic base stocks, and may also be used with esters to provide detergency and corrosion protection.

    Calcinate® NC is a liquid neutral calcium sulfonate and is normally handled at elevated temperatures. For general purposes, the following storage and handling temperatures are recommended:

    • 60-80°C (140-176°F)
    • 80-90°C (176-194°F)
