ACRYSOL™ DR-300 associative thickener delivers effective shear-thinning rheology in coatings ranging from matt to semi-gloss, with a primary focus on exterior applications. The distinctive viscosity profile of this synthetic liquid thickener ensures sag resistance for higher film builds, all while maintaining the improved flow typical of associative thickeners. ACRYSOL™ DR-300 also provides good early water resistance to acrylic, styrene-acrylic, and vinyl-acrylic coatings, even on chalky or aged surfaces. As with all Designed Rheology products, ACRYSOL™ DR-300 is easily incorporated during the paint manufacturing process. EBECRYL® 893 is a modified polyester acrylate specifically developed for UV curable field applied concrete and vinyl composition tile (VCT) floor coatings. EBECRYL 893 provides resistance to yellowing upon cure and over its lifetime. The low viscosity of EBECRYL 893 also provides latitude to achieve low viscosity formulations, which are required for field applied applications. Concrete and VCT coatings based on EBECRYL 893 provide a good balance of properties such as cure speed, adhesion, hardness, and scratch resistance. Good chemical and solvent resistance and high gloss are also obtained with concrete and VCT coatings based on EBECRYL 893.

EBECRYL® 1258 is a trifunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate diluted 20% by weight with hydroxypropylmethacrylate (HPMA) that does not contain any intentionally added organic tin compounds, heavy metals, hydroquinone (HQ) or methyl ether of hydroquinone (MEHQ). (Please note that quinones are present in many raw materials, so the overall quinone content is reduced, but not zero in EBECRYL® 1258.) Films of EBECRYL® 1258 cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) combine abrasion resistance, flexibility, and adhesion with resistance to yellowing.
