EBECRYL® 1200 is an acrylate functional acrylic resin supplied in 45% by weight of butyl acetate. Upon evaporation of the solvent, films of EBECRYL® 1200 are physically dry and tack-free and after UV/EB curing are hard and chemical resistant without embrittlement. The viscosity and cured properties can be adjusted with the addition of reactive diluents such as 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA), isobornyl acrylate (IBOA), trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), and tripropylene glycol diacrylate (TPGDA). A suitable photoinitiator must be added for polymerization with UV energy

EBECRYL® 1258 is a trifunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate diluted 20% by weight with hydroxypropylmethacrylate (HPMA) that does not contain any intentionally added organic tin compounds, heavy metals, hydroquinone (HQ) or methyl ether of hydroquinone (MEHQ). (Please note that quinones are present in many raw materials, so the overall quinone content is reduced, but not zero in EBECRYL® 1258.) Films of EBECRYL® 1258 cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) combine abrasion resistance, flexibility, and adhesion with resistance to yellowing.

EBECRYL® 1300 is designed as the letdown oligomer for UV thermoformable ink applications, and should be used in conjunction with the pigment grind oligomer, EBECRYL® 8413. EBECRYL® 1300 exhibits good adhesion promoting properties. When used together with EBECRYL® 8413, non-blocking thermoformable inks can be developed. These thermoformable inks demonstrate scratch and temperature resistance, as well as excellent adhesion to a variety of plastic substrates without the necessity of corona discharge or flame pretreatment.

EBECRYL® 1360 is a silicone hexaacrylate that improves slip, substrate wetting and coating flow and leveling when used as an additive in formulations cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB). Cured films containing EBECRYL® 1360 will exhibit a smooth, tack free surface, with good blocking resistance. Because of its acrylate functionality, the silicone cures into the polymeric backbone, thus eliminating the migration that free silicones often display in coatings. EBECRYL® 1360 is particularly effective in EB cured formulations.

EBECRYL LEO® 10103 is a multifunctional acrylate that in the presence of an amine synergist can enable the UV curing of printing inks and coatings without, or with only a minimal amount, of photoinitiator. The elimination or reduction of photoinitiator decreases the potential for migration in indirect food contact applications. EBECRYL LEO® 10103can be used for low migration over print varnishes along with flexographic and offset inks in the entire color range, including white. EBECRYL LEO® 10103 at 10-20% by weight in a coating or ink can provide a good balance of surface and through cure.
