- Product Uses
- ACRYSOL™ DR-5500 thickener is recommended for use in interior flat through gloss paints.
- It can also be used in exterior coatings as long as formulators exercise caution to minimize potential water sensitivity problems such as early blister.
- If water sensitivity is an issue, a nonionic HEUR associative thickener such as ACRYSOL™ DR-5500 or ACRYSOL™ RM-5000 may be effective.
- ACRYSOL™ DR-5500 thickener is supplied as a low viscosity liquid that is easy to handle and incorporate during the manufacturing process. It is ideally suited for automated or metered addition systems.

Storage & Handling
- Handling Information
- Keep combustible and/or flammable products and their vapors away from heat, sparks, flames and other sources of ignition including static diskharge.
- Processing or operating at temperatures near or above product flashpoint may pose a fire hazard. Use appropriate grounding and bonding techniques to manage static diskharge hazards.
- Failure to maintain proper volume level when using immersion heaters can expose tank and solution to excessive heat resulting in a possible combustion hazard, particularly when plastic tanks are used.
Storage - Store product in tightly closed original containers at temperatures recommended on the product label.
