RHOPLEX® PR-409AF

RHOPLEX® PR-409AF is an aqueous, all-acrylic binder designed for premium performance in universal stain blocking primers and primer-less paints. It’s distinct molecular weight distribution, combined with ambient crosslinking enables excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates without the use of APEO surfactants1. Coatings based on RHOPLEX® PR-409AF provide robust adhesion to metals, wood, masonry, cementitious, ceramic, alkyd and especially aged chalky substrates. The great compatibility of RHOPLEX® PR-409AF with zinc oxide can further enhance the exceptional stain blocking (household and tannin) and efflorescence of primers made with it. This binder further affords step out performance with the unusual combination of superior crack resistance combined with excellent dirt pick up resistance.
