SURFYNOL® TG

SURFYNOL® TG surfactant is a low-foaming, nonionic wetting agent for pigment and substrate wetting in aqueous systems. SURFYNOL® TG surfactant is recommended for use in waterborne coatings and other pigmented aqueous systems. SURFYNOL® TG surfactant also provides excellent wetting as well as excellent foam control to coagulant baths for both natural and synthetic rubber dipping process and in the preparation of latex tank compounds.

Dosage Information

Between 1 and 2% of total formulation weight is recommended for pigment and substrate wetting. Between 0.05 and 0.3% of total coagulant formulation weight is recommended for latex dipping.

Product Applications
  • Pigment grinding
  • Substrate wetting agent in waterborne coatings
  • Metal surface coatings
  • Improves the coverage of coatings applied on surfaces contaminated with oil, grease, dirt, or rust
  • Latex dipping
  • Rinse bath additive to reduce surface tension and enhance the “sheeting” action of aqueous systems
