UCECOAT® 7710

UCECOAT® 7710 is a solvent free, energy curable polyurethane dispersion specifically developed for high gloss applications on wood and plastics. It exhibits high hardness and scratch resistance. UCECOAT® 7710 is not physically drying before UV curing.

UCECOAT® 7710 is characterized by:

  • Translucent bluish to white emulsion
  • Low viscosity
  • Good stability. A very slight re-dispersible deposit may occur.

UV/EB energy cured formulations based on UCECOAT® 7710 are characterized by the following performance properties:

  • High gloss
  • Excellent mirror effect without polishing
  • Good stain and solvent resistance
  • High hardness & scratch resistance
  • Tacky before curing

The actual properties of UV cured products also depend on the selection of the other formulation components, such as reactive diluents, additives and photoinitiators.

Formulated UV/EB energy curable products containing UCECOAT® 7710 may be applied by spray, roller and curtain application methods. It may also be applied by roller and T-bar in field applied applications. UCECOAT® 7710 is recommended for use in:

  • Water based UV wood top coats
  • Water based UV protective coatings for plastics
  • Water based, field applied clear coatings on wood, concrete, VCT, and resilient flooring

Storage & Handling

Storage Conditions
  • The recommended storage temperature range for UCECOAT 7710 is ≥4°C (39°F) to ≤40°C (104°F).
  • Protect the product from freezing. Avoid conditions that may expose the material to high temperatures. Protect from direct sunlight. Use with adequate ventilation. Keep container closed.
  • After prolonged storage product can settle and may require agitation to re-disperse.
  • This product is stable under normal conditions of handling and storage.
